I believe it's a tradeoff between user usefulness and IT resources/bandwith/traffic issues. Most of us probably downloaded all AIPs every month and used 1-2 of them (if at all). The approach, to only download those who are useful for the upcoming trip(s) - and thus save precious bandwith - is sensible IMHO. Still, I think there should this possibilty, maybe via a once-off add-on payment for the added bandwith usage. What do you think?

I also would like to vote for a 'download all you've got' button. With three tablets, a phone and a PC to update individually every twenty eight days it's a major chore.

I would still very much appreciate having a button like before that allows me to download all updates at once. I often fly across Europe and have to manually click through all the country flags each time, as the automatic update via planned routes often doesn’t work or there is poor mobile coverage. At the very least, if a separation is necessary to save server capacity, larger regions such as North America, South America, Europe, and Asia should be available. Ideally, however, all purchased AIP data – just like the standard AIP and charts in Germany – should be downloadable at once. I love SkyDemon, but I want to have everything ready with a single click at home. Updating everything manually every 30 days is just unnecessarily tedious. I would really appreciate it if you reconsidered your decision—especially since server capacity really shouldn’t be an issue nowadays.
Especially because I have to do this on my iPad, backup iPhone, and Mac for precise planning. 😊
I’m looking forward to the upcoming updates – all past updates have always been truly fantastic, but I really miss the old “Download All” button! big hug & thanks from germany - take care.

+xI also find it frustrating that the Download All facility has gone away (on iOS in my case). If I'm crossing 5 countries on a flight, I don't want to have to download each in turn, waiting for one after the other to finish. Am I missing a trick? Hi Julian,
Nope, it has stopped working. After I've called SD on the phone, I've been told something in the lines of "it's not a bug, it's feature".

Well, personally I'd rather download all areas of interest right after AIRAC and be prepared (EFB), rather than clicking through various countries. Server traffic costs should be well covered by our annual fees.
The other issue is, how to access and find airport plates. One has to always go via the map - Information - Charts...
Who needs those rankings? This is a nice to have feature IMHO - but not the most important one when scrolling through an AIP. This makes research and planning just a bit more cumbersome :-(
I hope our feedback will be considered!

Again, very sad, that SkyDemon does not listen to its users :-( Nothing concrete - traffic on servers, users downloading what they don't need, etc. I think this is not correct - you just don't add the charts/regions you don't need.

Is there any update on this? The problem is still there - on a Windows computer I am able to "download all countries" in AIP, while on Android the option is not there. I've attached the screenshots - for all countries I cannot do anything other than select a country and inside a country I actually CAN download AIP. Got the latest SkyDemon (unable to install anything newer from Google Play).

Hi all, just called the SkyDemon support phone number and I've been told that this change was intentional, there will be NO "download all countries" on Android version, at least for now. JFYI.
