I suggest team SD in addition to the updated documentation, provides a tracked change version as well. This way, changes and additions would be really easy to identify and improve the time to digest and understand how to benefit from the changes.

If documentation is edited in e.g. Word, running a compare with previous version and shipping this in PDF format along side, would likely do the trick and be a very small additional effort.

I have always thought that this is a good idea and is a standard way to indicate changed pages. Would definitely make it easier to review updated SD user manuals.
