Go to the Mapping menu, reached from the "three stacked sheets" in the bottom right hand corner of the chart window.

Select 'Airfields and Waypoints'

Then select 'Airfield Labels'.

You have a choice between 'Name Only', 'Identifier & Name' or 'Identifier'.

Thanks Dave!  Very helpful - I somehow never even noticed that icon!

There is. Check the manual and/or the settings.

Thanks - do you have any hints about how to do this?  I've searched the manual, the google, and all options that I can see on my ipad.
