Because the height of the airspace stack is dictated by the amount of stuff on the right-hand side of that window. All the information about the airspace displayed on the map is shown on the right, including that figure of 3500'.

Ok thanks, but wouldn't it be better if the left side was better seen too? What is the point of showing cut figures?

Given that there can be airspace at any altitude, there's always the chance of something being cut off there. I agree it isn't ideal but all the airspace actually under your finger is documented on the right-hand side.
