The 795 should now load GPX routes exported from SkyDemon just fine, with the latest firmware installed.

Coming back to the .fpl file format issue, we've said we will do this now, so if anybody wants to get in touch with us directly who is in a position to beta-test the feature, that would be just what we need.

I would be very interested in the ability to output a route from SkyDemon to an SD card so that I can load it onto a Garmin G1000. I believe that it is in .fpl format but I don't know if the Garmin .fpl format is common to all Garmin aviation products.

Hi, no response from SD as yet. I don't know how often they monitor the forum. Might be best to contact them directly.

We've initiated discussions with Garmin about this. If they are not forthcoming we may ask a few people from this forum to get in touch by email and work with us, testing the support before it's released.

This is something we are trying to implement for the forthcoming 2.4.2 version. Would anybody here like to test the functionality?

I am happy to beta test the FPL file, I use flightplans daily on my 695 however the USB broke inside the unit yesterday, and now I have no way of communicating with the GPS other then via the SD Card. Tell me what to do and I will do it, cause I am desperate, and there is not one GPX to FPL converter anywhere!

SkyDemon has been able to save as .fpl format for many versions now.

the fpl and gpx versions will not import on a G1000 equipped aircraft. There is something wrong.
