Another picky point from me, but I noticed on the most recent update of Skydemon that negative Weights inserted into the W&B weight fields now seem to be reset to zero. In previous versions, the negative weights were accepted and then correctly used to calculate a lever arm. The reason for this request is that my aircraft was weighed with the oxygen bottle on board. However, I often fly with it removed. With a thumping 144" lever arm it makes a huge difference to the CoG of the aircraft (it's near the tail). I guess I could create two base aircraft profiles in Skydemon one with and one without the cylinder, but it seems a shame when it's worked well up until now. I don't really understand why you'd use the logic to change a negative into a zero anyway. If someone was entering something into a weight field, then it seems to me that there's more chance they would get the sign wrong rather than the value, so it's not obvious to me how the code logic actually helps here by reseting the field to zero. Is there any chance of a reversion to the previous code logic in future versions?

I understand your point and therefore the correct way to put that would be, as you say, to have a negative weight.

Physically though, there is no such thing as a negative weight but we can easily have a negative arm.

My suggestion is to set a standard negative arm with a zero weight for the standard balance. When you remove the oxygen bottle you just need to change the weight from zero to the actual weight of the bottle. Having a negative arm should do the trick!

Thanks. That's a neat idea. I need one negative sign in there and it seems as though Skydemon is happy with a negative arms. Have done some tests and it seems to work.
