Hi,
In commercial aviation I see more and more PIREP are getting filed about observed turbulences and icing. This is quite common in USA nowadays, also in Europe the amount of PIREP is growing. Sometimes, PIREP are also used to publish turb SIGMET. Such warnings are important.
What does the community think if such turb PIREP also could be filed via SD, inflight? If such PIREPS would be shown in SD on the map to everybody to raise awareness?
SD could also be used using motion sensors to measure turbulence intensity. A little dialogue could be implemented to send a report.

Best wishes,
Alex

Why not dock to the ForeFlight API, little use to invent things again.

Many current weather PIREPs are from airliners and they use ACARS for it, only a matter of time until GA is going to use it also - My opinion.
