Italy......., some CTR are divided up to 9 area, ATC is referring to CTR numbers,

The same situation applies to The Netherlands, where the EHAM CTR is divided in 3 parts.
The numbers are used in ATC communication, e.g.: 'remain below Schiphol CTR 2'.
The numbers as shown in the AIP-chart:

Some places also have TMA numbers and use them.
For example in Basel "Stay out of TMA 2" or "Cleared to enter TMA 6"

I believe we already implemented the numbers for many pieces of airspace in Switzerland, but perhaps there are more to do. I will ask my colleague to look at Italy in this AIRAC period and we'll see how that goes.
