Hi

Using SkyAngel for the first time, I have installed it on a non-branded PND and it is working well.

A few Questions -

Notams & Weather - Is it only the close to route Notams and TAF's that get downloaded? How do these get to the PND device? Is it only when a flight plan is active synced across? Is it only the close to route Notams and TAF's that go across? If I go away flying for a week I will be planning only using the in flight software - can

Terrain data doesn't seem to be displaying on the PND, it is on the PC and the 50mb DEM file exists on the PND.

Airspace / airport changes - how do these get a) to the PC, b) to the in flight device?

I cant find anywhere to set the date and time you expect to fly a planed route, so the notam / wx info is always just shown for current time?

The TAF's are good to see on the enroute plans, but how about a better set of wx information that covers the whole country?

Thanks

Kev

NOTAMs and Weather are downloaded direct on the device. This requires that your device have its own internet connection. If it doesn't, you can't get NOTAMs and Weather in InFlight.

Terrain data is not drawn on the main map in InFlight, only in the Approaching Features instrument.

Data updates are just copied over when necessary; they are simple files. We'll be introducing a tool to automate this process in the near future.

You set it in the NOTAM filtering window, in Plan. In InFlight there is no setting for this; when they are downloaded the next whole day's worth are always displayed.

Better than TAFs?
