I can't comment on skydemon use per se but I hope this proves helpful about in inflight use.

We've started running SkyDemon Mobile on a Fujitsu P1610 Lifebook Tablet PC (9.5" screen), using Bluetooth hooked to a Global Sat GPS. The Lifebook runs a stack of our other essential software on XP, with decent WiFi.

Curious to know whether anyone else is using a Fujitsu with SD? The cost, from a US supplier was modest (around US$400 for the tablet, $30 for the GPS, ) - the kit is guaranteed, reconditioned and the GPS link is pre-configured; email support has been responsive.

I'm not confident about daylight capability, but experimenting next week.
