Hi,

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice here. I am due to take my PPL skills test very soon and often use SkyDemon just to double check the accuracy of my PLOG. I have noticed recently some pretty big differences between the wind speed and direction shown on a route PLOG via SkyDemon versus just checking it against the Spot Wind forecast from the UK Met Office. I am guessing the SkyDemon version is more accurate as it takes information from numerous sources but wondered if I should use these winds for my PPL or just take them straight from the UK Met Office?

Thanks
Alex

It shouldn't matter. They are both forecasts, so neither will be "accurate" in that it's spot on. They'll be looking to see if you derived your forecast data from an up-to-date and well-used source, I should think.
