See the screenshot, the times are not consistent for a given flight within the Wind analysis window.
Why there is a difference at the same altitude?
Is the whole profile (climb, cruise, descent) used to do the analysis or only a cruise from departure to destination?

Every second of your flight is modelled; every part of every cruise, climb and descent.

So why the difference in flight time at the same altitude between the analysis window and the main window?

I don't know. Possibly the timing of the flight, but we'd need the route in question in order to look into this. Could you post it?

Hello,
I ran some tests and in fact I think it has to do with the date of the flight.
If I don't input a date, the times are the same in both windows but if I choose a date in the future (with winds available) the flighttime changes in the main window but the numbers in the analysis window are exactly the same as before.
It seems as if the analysis window is not using the future winds but only the present winds.
See the screen shots first with take off at present time (16 August 16:05 UTC), then 12h in the future and finally 24h in the future.
I also enclosed the flightplan
Best regards
Pascal

You're right. The flight modelling undertaken in the Wind Analysis feature did not correctly copy the takeoff time, if one was set. We will get this fixed for the forthcoming 3.4.1 maintenance release. Thanks!

It's amazing what bugs people discover! As a beta testing forum and sounding board this must be of great value to The SD team.

What's even more amazing is how quickly the SD team respond once the problem is identified. Bravo SD Team!
