I'm taking up flying again after a break and equipping myself. I have set up my Windows 8.1 laptop with Skydemon so it interfaces with my Garmin GPSMAP 196 and all is well. However I also have a Windows 8.1 tablet, and Asus Vivotab Smart ME400. It has a built-in GPS, specifically a Broadcom GNSS Geolocation Sensor. This is switched on and according to Control Panel is at 'Location 22 (BcmGnssBus - GPS Function)'.
It would be nice to try Skydemon as a navigation device with the Asus tablet. I'm not sure the tablet is stable enough, but I'd like to see how good it actually is in the air. However, I cannot find a way to get Skydemon to recognise the internal GPS. The only drop-down in the setup under GPS Navigation Options has the word 'Simulate' and a Baud rate. Can someone advise me if what I want to do is possible and if so how?
Whether I'd actually want to navigate with this tablet is a different question!
