Today had a 3 hour flight with the Nexus 7 that crashes often in the past. I had no crash at all! I used the offical 3.0.6 after I tested several betas.

So for me, it looks as the charts could have brought and removed the problem.

The charts are not responsible for instability. This is just the inconsistency seen in general on the Android platform. Remember, most people running 3.0.6 do not have a problem with instability.

Well I'm also having problems, as is another user I know.

The problem I'm having is that SD just shuts down, usually shortly after opening, particularly when switching to "go flying" straight after opening(as you do when going flying!).

I never had a problem until more recent updates. I have tried resetting my nexus and all seemed well until further apps were added.

Hopefully the new ver will address these problems, I tried monday's beta but found some of the setup menus locked up.

Regards

Considering SD is not generating any crash report, I'm not sure we can state that most people do not have a problem.
The only thing we can say is that most people are not complaining. Which is different since all the users I know (6 people) are complaining for months.

Anyway, the last beta is a huge improvement. I had a 2 hours flight yesterday without any crash!

I believe many users have problems, but they do not comply. I also did so at beginning and thought it was my problem, perhaps having touched somethin on the tablet.

I have the same problem with Nexus 7. Skydemon crashes randomly every couple of hours, sometimes at a time when awareness of position in local airspace is critical. This is not really a sustainable situation, if it is not sorted out I will have to consider going over to the dark side and getting an Ipad ..........

Please try the beta people have already mentioned. It should solve the most common cause of in-flight instability.

Hi all

As I have the exact same issue on 3.0.6 installed on a Nexus 7 and I wish to understand what's going on I have captured an Android logcat trace just after a crash from SD which is often at starts of applicaiton but also in middle of in flight navigation.

I hope this could help to solve the issue.

Regards
