So I did as follows: Updated Navigon Fresh Reformatted card Installed the other files needed (Mio Pocket etc) Installed Skydemon 1.4.2 from scratch Synced with PC All worked OK. BUT .. no idea which was the critical step!! Cheers D

Group: Forum Members Posts: 518, Visits: 2K	Tried manual driver settings and cd not get any to work. Initially was set to Com4 .. no satellites seen at all (wrong port). Then Chose Com1.. again no go and same for Com2. But when Com7 selected, it freezes as before(cd be same or difft problem). Then tried navigon Car GPS programme and all works fine. Going back to 1.4.0 for now on 8410 but 1.4.2 on PC and on Mio v735. Am assuming routes etc will all work OK with this combination. Will await further suggestions. David

I downloaded 1.4.2 again, gave file a new name, deleted SD from PC, installed 1.4.2, installed on Mobile as an Upgrade. I then fired up Navigon (after reset). It ran SD OK until I got a GPS fix .. then everything freezes. Menu buttons all stop working. I can reset and get back to same place but still hangs. GPS settings are for auto Microsoft driver (or some such). Will try setting to manual and see what happens. D

You seem to be describing a hang now, whereas before there was an exception caused by the device not having software keyboard APIs that it reasonably should have. Can you give a more detailed explanation of the "new" problem (using a current 1.4.2 download), does the software get to the welcome screen, etc. Thanks.
