When installing latest mobile on Navigon 8410, I get following error

Can't find an Entry Point 'SipGetInfo' in a Pinvoke DLL 'Core.dll'

Will try reloading previous version

Otherwise any help much appreciated. If I click on Details nothing happens.

Going back to 1.4 (removing 1.4.2 from PC, delete all files from SD directory on card, install SD mobile from desktop, sync card via SD PC, put card in Navigon & then boot up), works fine still.

I hit this problem too, David. I think Tim's onto it.



(It's because the 8410 lacks a software keyboard which is supposedly 'core' functionality.)

Suspect its to do with the excellent Direct To enhancement that we will not have on 8410!!!

We added a "helpful" bit of code on startup which moves the onscreen keyboard out of the way of the SkyDemon main window buttons, to save the user doing this later on. We failed to anticipate the lack of these functions on some devices (Microsoft advises that they are there on all the platforms we support) hence the crash.

We'll push out an update sometime over the next couple of days that silently ignores this and carries on.

Update: We've now refreshed the current public 1.4.2 build to include a fix for this. We didn't bother changing the version number.

Still nogo with Navigon. Hangs on startup and no way to get around xpt delete and reload previous 1.4 version. Alos it produces some files on the card that are "corrupt" and cannot be deleted. Have created a folder called "xxx" and moved these files there (in case you want to know more about them).

Eventually, will have to reformat card and reload from scratch.

By all means give us the names of some of these files. With the exception of routes, logs and terrain bitmaps, SkyDemon does not create files.

I think others using the Navigon confirmed success with the republished 1.4.2 build, so this might be something else you're running into.

Can you tell me who else has Navigon 8410 working with 1.4.2? JSNR has not yet updated his.

Mine still hanging on startup  .. keyboard fix did not work.
