No, that crash is different to the one which was causing stability problems across a few devices and certainly isn't something introduced in the latest beta. It reads like a memory corruption issue; extremely rare and unfortunately beyond our control I'm afraid. The common crash in all the original logs you sent to us is definitely solved and should not come back.

Latest android beta(27th May) seems to work well,......no cloning of waypoints,....... no silent crashes(so far), can't see the email route feature- but not an issue.
Thank you-excellent!

Edit: one silent crash so far on start up: 2 hrs flying

There is only one Android feature change in the latest beta:

You can now open routes directly from email attachments (Android)

The rest is minor continued work on stability.

Hi,

I didn't have a crash yet in the planning mode with the new beta, but I got one in simulated mode when recording the flight ( in less than 10min) and another in the car when recording "the flight".

When I do not record the flight I had no problem.

Edit: I tried again the simulated mode recording the flight without crashes for more than a hour.
Simulated mode freeze for me too.
So it is much beter but not perfect yet.

Hi,

After some hours (around 7 ...) of testing since yesterday:
- I haven't been able to reproduce any crash, whish is great!
- SD regularly freeze after 60/90 minutes. Perhaps it's a side effect of the broken simulation mode.

When touching the screen after a freeze, Android allows me to kill it but it does not generate interesting logs, I'm afraid.
Anyway, they're attached, as always Smile

Thanks Mike for the info, I'll try that.

Tim,
I have been testing the Android beta (12th May) and also find it much more reliable - no more silent crashes yet. However, if left running on my Nexus 7 with the 'debug' simulation then on two occasions (once after 1hour and again after 1hr40mn) SkyDemon just locks up (fixed display and unresponsive to presses). Both times I have had to manually kill SkyDemon and have thus not got a debug log yet. I'll keep trying.

Thanks, that is good news. It seems we may have eliminated by far the most common cause of instability, the one which all your previous logs were pointing to.

This is a new one, and it's not one we've ever seen before. In fact looking at the code, it's "impossible" which may be as a result of memory corruption. Would you mind running a couple more tests to see what the results are?

I'm still looking into why we're not getting a helpful popup.
