I have the original large iPad and the iPad mini 2 with SkyDemon installed on both.
Without doubt I find the mini much more suitable in the cockpit.
I mount mine on a RAM mount with a sucker to the side screen.

Depends what you want to do with. Anything bigger than 5" mounted on a window is too big. I use a 7" Nexus 7 on my lap, wouldn't want to mount that (would obstruct visibility too much). Might try a yoke mount sometime.
10" a la iPad etc. are just too big for the average spamcan cockpit IMO (although I know people do use them).
So in summary, if you want to mount it on a window, 5", if you want it in your lap, 7".

Hi,
Was just wondering what people thought the ideal size for a tablet running SD is for use in the cockpit.
