The beta versions don't show the new version number until they become the release version.

I think you're right:
Tim stated probably just the wrong version number on the download page and the final version# will be "2.4". and as long as it's in the beta stage the version is something from 2.3.4.29831 to 2.4.0.0

I have downloaded the latest beta version dated 13th June. It includes everything Tim states in his writeup.

Do you have 'Save to Cloud' and 'Open from cloud' in your Routes drop down menu. If you have then you have the latest version

I understand where you are coming from because Tim himself refers to it as version 2.4 when he writes about it.

This is the same version number what is mentioned in my "about" menu. But this seams to be wrong.

The current beta at http://www.skydemon.aero/beta.aspx supposed to have the version number 2.4 and the filename is "skydemon.msi". This is what I installed and the result is the above version number.

The last official release on http://www.skydemon.aero/download.aspx is V2.3.4 (May 19th) with file name "Skydemon.2.3.4.msi"

I checked my whole system for another "skydemon.exe" but there is only one executable in the ..\skydemon folder plus another file in the "..\skydemon\inflight" subfolder, what is the executable for WinCE

I have the latest 'beta' version (2.3.4.29831) with the save to cloud, plates etc. on my PC and wince 6 device.

It displays the details correctly and the functionality seems pretty good a well, I'll be flying with it on Sunday to give it further testing.

When you deleted your older version of Skydemon from the control panel did you check that you only had one version of the software loaded because when I deleted it, I noticed that somehow a previous version was there as well, so because 2.1 is a very old copy, it's possible that your desktop SD icon is linked to the wrong version.

I would just delete your desktop icon and go into programs and try running the versuion from there.

I noticed the same o my PC, but this seams to be a bug in the beta. Please check if you have the aircraft plate window awailable or "save in cloud" in the file menu.
I have both available after installation of the 2.4beta so I assume that the version number shown in the dialog is not correct.

Hi, I've removed Ver2.1 from my Windows laptop using control panel, then downloaded the 2.4 Beta.

Skydemon restarts but it shows Ver 2.1.0 in the "about" window.

When I open "charts" i then get a message to say there is a later version available. When I try to update it from the dialogue box I get an error saying that another version is already installed

Any suggestions welcomed

P.S. How do I update the IPAD version. Apps store tells me that this is up to date. How do I check version on Ipad and how to load the beta 2.4?
