I DON'T SEE WHERE TO FACTOR IN THE MAG VARIATION WHICH IS VITALLY IMPORTANT FOR WORKING OUT ONES HEADING....

Think your caps lock key is broken!

SD automatically accounts for magnetic variation. You can choose whether or not to show magnetic track in the plog, and you can also elect to show your track in degrees magnetic if you wish whilst flying.
