Many aircraft have a Utility Category Mass and Balance envelope within which aerobatic or semi-aerobatic manoeuvres are permitted.

As a minimum it would be helpful to be able to define the limits in the aircraft profile setup and have those values shown at the foot of the M&B graph so the actual values could be compared. Even nicer would be to plot the resultant Utility Category as a shaded area on the graph, so one could immediately confirm more easily whether the proposed flight remains within the parameters.

I recall there was a recommendation for this: make a copy of the aircraft and change it to the stricter limits.

Yes, that is the obvious workaround, but I already have two profiles for my aircraft - one with the rear seats in place and one with them removed - and I’d rather not have four!
