I think I may have finally solved the seemingly urbiquitious problem of SD intermittently losing position and traffic data when connected to SkyEcho 2, at least on Android (Nokia T10 running Android 14, SD 4.0.2, SkyEcho 2 Wifi Version 0.2.33, ADS-B version 2.6.13):
I did the following:
1. Rolled back the SkyEcho Wifi firmware to version 0.2.33 and did a factory reset (with the SkyEcho on, hold down the power button for about 45 seconds until the unit turns off and the 3 LEDs flash white).
2. In the SkyEcho Wifi Settings: Disabled auto channel selection (untick the box and restart the SkyEcho).
3. In Android Settings > Network and Internet > Internet: Disabled Wifi auto-connect on EVERY saved WiFi service except the SkyEcho 2. In Network Preferences disabled "Turn on Wifi Automatically" & "Notify for public networks".
4. In Android Settings > Location Services : Disabled "Wifi Scanning", "Bluetooth Scanning" & "Location Accuracy".
This *appears* to have worked, I have no idea why. I can only guess that *something* was interfering with the location data at the Operating System level; this may explain why neither SD nor uAvionix were able to solve the problem.
I would be interested to know if this works for anyone else?
