Hi, i'm quite new with SD , a great program, but with the units i'm not that happy.

Flying a Robin DR253 the most units  in km/h m/s etc...
and a AQUILA At01 ther the units are mph / ft/    etc...
But  I  would prefere the distances in the  pilot log in miles , becouse it's the usulay uses unit.

Make a split between ‌‌the speed and the distance units

and it would be grate to  intigrat this in the aerplane profile , to have the same untis as in the instruments (groundspeed ets)

Best regards

I quite like the idea of files but perhaps could just be drop down selectors same as power settings are done. Perhaps it could be both?

Quick selectors for fuel state might be handy. On a warrior, the two most common to me are full, and tabs. Again, a drop down rather than having to adjust a slider might be useful.

Personally I also prefer the direct number entry of the web version, rather than the slider in the windows version. It's a bit slower to enter.

Each set of settings saved as a file, each file has a name entered by the creator as free text (to a defined max length and editable) and then you select which file of settings you wish to load.

Could have a selection of loading files saved for use, named as you wish...

The aircraft that is selected when you start SkyDemon should be the one that was selected when you last exited the software.

I like the idea of a default weight for certain loading points, how would you envisage these would be selected?

is it (or would it  be) possible to save default weights for, say, pilot, baggage and pax?

I second the favourite/default aircraft option.

My flying club has skydemon and a big list of a/c.  I imagine that a few more a/c management options would be nice - maybe grouping under types or club/private aircraft or whatever might be nice in the future.

Associated with this, a way to set the default aircraft would be useful. At the moment it seems to just default to the first aircraft in the list each time you start a new route. I guess the list is in alphabetical order and it just so happens that the first one in the list is the aircraft I fly the least!

Internally, and for storage purposes, kg and litres are always used.

Another related question.

I created an aircraft, but since it's W&B and official figures are in LBS and USG, I changed skydemon prefs to match, and entered the data.

I then changed prefs back to litres and KG, since I prefer those units in general. All seemed to work well and the W&B points and fuel all seem to be good in KG/Litres.

When I look at the aircraft definition file, the data in it seems to be in KG and litres, but I can't see anything in the file to say what the units are. I just want to know if I share this file, how the app knows what units were used to create it?

(PS sorry for all the posts, just loving the software and want to fully understand it/pass back feedback)
