Hi All, some advice if possible !
We do not have space in our aircraft to panel mount and i pad or similar and having a control stick instead of a yoke I do not like knee mounted devices. We have been using a samsung galaxy note 4 phone for a heads up display but its old and tired and we need to replace it. Has anyone suggestions as to what device, chinese phone, etc etc could work for us, it does not need to work as a phone so don't care how good it is at that we merely need a small display. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks

Paul.

I use a second hand iPhone 6s given me by my daughter. Works fine without a SIM card, and because I only use it as a traffic display and not for planning/navigation, I can leave it logged out of SkyDemon except when updating the charts thus not using up a licence.

My Samsung S8 Galaxy works very well in portrait mode. It is mounted on my instrument panel.
Always worth having the cell phone capability for real time updates from Skydemon and latest METARs etc. when flying (assuming a cell phone signal is being received)
