I appreciate it would only appeal to a small minority but it would be handy for practicing/teaching NDB tracking and approaches into my local strip. The nearby regional international spaceports charge a fortune.

It would also allow me to teach/practice ADF in all the aircraft on our books as currently only one has a serviceable ADF and its not financially viable to get them fixed/fitted in the others.

I think my problem with this suggestion is that analogue ADFs are so vague and quirky that a digital simulation would be far easier to fly, and thus the training value would be limited if the student was expected to use ADF for a real approach in the future.

For example, real ADFs bend out of line as the aircraft rolls.  That sort of thing.
