Using the trial version on a Windows XP Notebook is it possible to transfer Waypoints from a Garmin 496 to SD?

Also is this possible in the paid up version? I ask this as I have quite a few waypoint/microlight airfields in the UK France and Spain that I would eventually like to transfer over.

There may be a few SD participants who might like to 'share' their waypoints with others on the forum

If there are any CT owners out there who can or have constructed the weight and balance polygon I would like to know how they did it as P and M are not helpful

Not sure but I think you ought to be able to get the waypoints off the 496/296 using Garmin's free mapping software and then saving these as a GPX file that I think SD can import.

Failing that there are various format manipulation tools available on the web re GPS. Should be possible to get one of them to do the trick.

Sorry do not have wt & balance for CT. Since you can take of at MTOW from 300M have not found the need for it. I guess at altitude on a hot windless day it might be nore critical.

Hi David

I agree, but as the option was in the SD package I thought I would use it as a check.

Managed to download my European waypoints via the Garmin Trip and Waypoint Manager disk.........Thanks
