No Speed and Heading information with IPad 3 and GNS 2000

Group: Forum Members Posts: 1, Visits: 256	Hi guys, I just came back from flying and again I noticed a strange behavior from SD in flying mode: GNS 2000 and iPad 3 is linked and seems to work fine. BUT: We I am flying the aircraft symbol is yellow and displays my current position... Only the speed is missing and the heading of the plane icon is constantly facing north (000 degrees).... Loggin and position display works fine.... Anyone any ideas? Greets, Matt Tags GNS2000 Heading Speed missing

Group: Forum Members Posts: 22, Visits: 117	I had the same problem with GNS2000 and Ipad Mini. Firstly is your GNS2000 at the latest software issue? Mine had to be returned to place of purchase for an update, only possible In Store (AFE in my case). If so, try this: Turn off wifi and bluetooth on Ipad. Turn off Ipad Turn off GNS Turn both Ipad and GNS back on and pair over bluetooth. (DONT turn on wifi) Go test. It worked for me. Allegedly the Apple stuff takes preferences to certain connections and so it wrongly assumes the wifi connection is better over a highly accurate GNS reciever! This presents the issues your having.
