Small point, just installed SD on new iPad (full version with Nav option etc) but only get SD light icon on iPad even when deliberately installing full version from store - seems to work ok, bug?

I updated the version on my iPad the same Ian, and the lite icon replaced the previous icon. Again it seemed to work ok, until
I tried to use it in the air, on a flight yesterday evening. The program would not lock on to any satelites,and so I could not use
it to follow the flight plan I had filed.
Anybody got any ideas?

Ian, SD acknowledge that this latest version was released with the wrong icon - it is the full latest version (2.4.1) for iPad. There is a topic elsewhere on this forum on the same topic.

Hairy, silly question, but assume you do have 3G (i.e. GPS capability) version of iPad? I don't, so need a separate GPS receiver?

Yes Colin, it has 3G. It worked ok on the previous version. I did three flights with it working perfectly.

Sorry then, I cannot help on this one.

Ok I spoke to SD, and they steered me through location services on the iPad
and turned the SD service to the on position. Everything works ok now.
