Hi all,

Is there a way to change what source Sky Demon is using for location data whilst in the 'Flying' mode?

I purchased a Sky Echo 2, configured it, set it up on the window of the aircraft, opened Sky Demon, clicked Go Flying, it asked me if I wanted to use the built in iPad GPS chip or the Sky Echo (can't remember the exact wording). I selected the Sky Echo, took off, got half way to my destination airfield and got a message that there was no location data available or something similar. The small plane symbol dropped off the map and I just couldn't get it to reconnect. It kept displaying a message saying no location (or similar wording).
Fortunately it was a route I've done miltiple times before, I knew where I was and I was able to open Sky Demon on my phone and it immediately picked up my location to run in the background as a confirmation of position.

Is there a way mid flight of changing what Sky Demon uses as the source for the location data? i.e. Can I get it to stop using the Sky Echo and to start using the inbuilt GPS in the iPad?

On losing the connection to the SE2, the banner message displayed would have offered you the option to reconnect to Location Services. If you miss that you can do it manually by touching:

- SkyDemon Logo top left > ‘Stop Navigating’
- ‘Go Flying’ > ‘Use Location Services’
