I would highly appreciate if I could decide on the visibility of the glider symbols myself.
I wouldn’t mind if they are visible during flight mode only, or if the symbols would be exchangeable/sizable.
Another option would be, to show the symbol only in an adjustable radius around your position.
As of now, the symbols are disturbing and distracting to me.

Please do something about it
