Mobile SD and Version 2.6.0

I have been using my mobile SD with Windows 8 quite happily until yesterday evening. I successfully upgraded my Sky Demon Plan to 2.6.0 but when I attempted a sync, the sync failed with the message "GUID should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes". I used my computer to open a file called debug.txt and the relevant part is reproduced below. The problem is that my Mobile SD is now completely dead. It boots as far as the terms and conditions screen and then falls back to the GPS/Media/Bluetooth etc. screen. I have used the contact form to ask SkyDemon for their opinion and they have not had time to reply as yet, so if Sky Demon is reading this, be aware that this is a duplicate request for help. These things always happen at weekends!

Hannah at SkyDemon has sorted this out for me. The procedure was to delete the charts from the SD device, do the same for the PC and then download a new chart to the PC and sync.

Appropriate part of her message follows:

To delete charts from your Mobile SD you'll need toconnect the device to your PC, then click Computer and select your SkyDemondevice and open the Resident Flash drive. You will then need to open the SkyDemon folder and inside this the Datafolder. In SkyDemon Data you will see anumber of .skydata files, each corresponding to a loaded chart. You will need to delete each of these skydatafiles.

Next you should delete all of the .skydata filesin your SkyDemon folder in Documents on your PC. This means that the next time you launch theSkyDemon software on your PC you'll be prompted to install new charts, and Iwould suggest installing only the ones you need.
