My name is Jim Mitchell and I am writing from the US. I have purchased a new iPad 3 and am ready to order Skydemon - which seems to have a tremendous feature set compared to other navigation systems.
On the West Coast of the US, we have a lot of mountain ranges and deep valleys. Weather (like the UK) changes more frequently than I change my socks.
I have heard and read that the GPS function in the iPad is not sufficiently strong to hold triangulation in flight. Is that true?
Does the acquisition of a stand-alone GPS seem to work better?
If that answer is "yes", then please explain the config. of how one sets up Skydemon on the iPad and additionally connects an outboard GPS into the mix.
Any other comments, suggestions, constructive or otherwise are always appreciated.
Kindest Regards,
Jim Mitchell
