I have inflight on a CE device. To make it find satellites I need to set it to Port 7 and tick the alternate port box. If I switch it off and back on I need to go through the whole process again. This also applies to turning off the altitude and speed tapes and to set the chart to follow position.
How do I get it to save my settings please?

Hello!
I need to set the right COM port for the GPS on a HTC X7500ADVANTAGE device that runs under Win Mobile5. The GPS is set under COM5 and all other GPS based softwares as TomTom, LK8000, Flight Assistant, XCSoar works fine, but on SD only have two COM port options: COM3 and COM8. I tried to set the device COM output to both COM3 and COM8 and at any baud rate, but there's no dialog between the software and the device, nor the device GPS light flashes as for the other softwares. I tried also using the Microsoft Driver option in GPS settings on SD, but nothing happens. The GPS signal acquisition is very fast in all the softwares. Is there a way to set and test COM5 as com port for GPS on SD?
Thank you,
Alessandro
Edit: solved changing COM port value in Settings.ini file. now works fine.
