Subject: Feature Request: "Turn Anticipation / Leg Transition Distance" for NMEA Autopilot OutputHi SkyDemon Team,I am using SkyDemon connected to an external autopilot (via NMEA). Currently, SkyDemon switches to the next leg precisely when passing the waypoint. For older or simpler autopilots without built-in GPSS (GPS Steering) / turn anticipation logic, this results in an overshoot (an unharmonious "overshoot turn") before tracking the new leg.
Since SkyDemon already supports autopilot integration and route transmission, it would be a massive improvement if we could select a custom transition threshold. My suggestion:Add an option under Navigation Options allowing the user to select "Waypoint Transition" by either Auto or a user-defined Distance (e.g., 0.5 NM).When Distance is selected, SkyDemon would activate the next leg and send the new track data via NMEA at that specific distance before the waypoint. This simple addition would allow pilots with legacy autopilots to achieve smooth, professional turns onto the next leg without overshooting, aligning perfectly with SkyDemon’s excellent autopilot connectivity.
