Beta 4.1.0 on Mac

Not sure if implemented in the Beta of 4.1.0 Mac but when using the Find tool in simulate mode, there is no option to select nearby waypoints.  Just my final destination

The version history has nothing to do with any particular beta release. The beta notes in Testflight tell you what functionality is in a particular beta release.
