SD for iPad failing to get settings from SE2

I fly a number of aircraft with different Reg numbers. Usually, if the Reg number does not accord with the information in SkyEcho 2, a message would pop up saying that the planned aircraft is different and should the Reg be changed. This no longer happens. If I go to the SE2 Configuration tab in Sky Demon I get the following error message: " Failed to get settings from the device. An invalid response was received from the device". Other than this error the iPad still connects to the SE2 and operates normally. I am running SD on an iPad mini 5 with the latest update (18.3.1) and the Sky Demon software is also the latest release. I get the same problem using a different SE2... but there is no problem if I use my SE2 with my iPhone or different iPad. The issue must be with the SD installation on the iPad mini. I have deleted and reinstalled the SD software but it has made no difference. I have now run out of ideas! Can anyone help? Thanks.

Problem resolved by uninstalling the SD App THEN powering down the iPad to clear the cache then reinstalling the SD App. Mistake I made was not powering down the iPad AFTER uninstalling the App. All now OK.
