Wind Speed/Direction not displaying on the Sky Demon Moving Map

I appreciate the WIND speed/direction on the Sky Demon moving map is only a snapshot from the last time there was an internet connection. However, recently, when flying, I am consistently getting the "X" and not wind data. This X shows on both my iPad mini (5th generation) and iPhone (12) while flying and my iPad has its own mobile phone card. I am a bit confused as I assume there is an internet connection before I take off as the Skly Demon METAR and TAF info updates. Any thoughts?

There's a public beta out at the moment, and while I cannot commit to a public release date for the next version, I would expect it sometime in the next couple of weeks.
