I know that METAR info is available from all airfields, and that a VFR icon is shown based on personal minima.
However, I think that it would be beneficial to show cloud base as well as coverage (in octa’s?) as an overlay on the top down map. This would allow prompt selection of the most suitable airfield in case of marginal VMC conditions. I am aware that the profile view does this, however this is only in the current track direction,
The current workaround is selective clicking and drilling until the much needed info is acquired.
