The small trajectory line shows where they'll be in one minute, and for clarity is only displayed when the aircraft is within 2000 feet of you vertically.

When SD displays ADS-B Out equipped aircraft, detected using Pilot Aware, I have noticed that most aircraft have a short white line projecting forward.
However some don't have any white line projecting forward.
Why the difference?
Could it be because these aircraft aren't transmitting any ground speed information in the ADS-B out datastream?
