how to make automatic 'Plate Downloading' work ?

Try updating your SkyDemon. There was a problem in the initial Android upload where on some devices the option couldn't be changed.

Thx for the reply. Not sure how to force sd to update since i think i have the latest. Hopefully starts working on the next update.

Just got an sd update. This feature now works for me.

SD v.3.11.1.21395 , Samsung galaxy S8+

Latest release notes shows :

Airfield documents can now be downloaded automatically for your route (iOS, Android, PC)
When enabled, SkyDemon will automatically download all the charts and documents for every airfield in your route, in the background.
"

In SD, under 'Planning Options' I see 'Plate Downloading'  'On Demand' , but I cannot change it.
My understanding is that it should download route related plates automatically, when 'enabled'. But what do I have to enable, and how to enable it ? I cannot make it work. Advice appreciated.
