Like in title I'm using SD on my phone and battery life is very important. Every time when I turned off screen and back to turn on the screen there is information: waiting for location data. I ignored a few things in android like battery consumption alert for SD, allowed work in background for SD, ignored optimalization for SD and still gps doesn't work in background. Could help with that?

I use my Galaxy S8 smartphone for SD and battery life is also important to me.

I see exactly the same symptoms as you do if I turn the display off (GPS goes off-line).

If my S8 phone is fully charged I get around 5 hours of SD use (display on continuously) before I need to charge the battery.
