Map depiction issue

A few days ago I was using SD on a commercial flight (I was a passenger).
W‌hile on the ground I selected "Fly" and saw the expected highly detail map of the airport and the aircraft's movement along the taxiway.
A‌fter a few seconds the display changed to a totally blurred depiction of something. I recycled SD but the same happened.
O‌n the third occasion of this happening I tried to zoom out to see what was being displayed.
I‌t looks like SD has switched to the CAA chart style but the zoom setting was still set to "high" as would be required, presumably, for the detailed airport layout. So hence the very "blurred" graphics.
O‌nce airborne normal SD displays resumed and the issue didn't reoccur on landing. The destination airport high detail map displayed normally.

Do you have a screenshot please? It's hard to visualise from your description. Possibly a georeferenced airfield chart or approach chart was being displayed.

Unfortunately I don't. The airport was Jersey and the airport "map"  was detailed but looked similar in format to that for my home (grass) airfield.
W‌hat I think was happening was that SD was switching maps but keeping the zoom level the same so the usual 1:500,000 scale map was completely unreadable.
W‌hen I next go flying myself I will see if the behavior is still there.
