Android Printing problem?

If print spooler itself is crashing and not SkyDemon, it indicates Android itself is having a problem with whatever printed output we are giving it. Unfortunately we would have no clue how to go about rectifying such a problem, sorry.

Hi Tim,

Many thanks for‌ your reply. That is as I thought then, that Android is having a problem interpreting your print file before sending it to the printer. It was worth a post though, just in case someone else had seen the problem and knew of a fix.

Kind regards

Hi All,

I have been running my ASUS K013 tablet for about two years with an external GPS module. I've never had any problem at all and have always been very happy with it. However, until now I have been printing out my PLOG's using my desktop PC. Recently I have tried to print out my PLOG from my ASUS tablet and here lies the problem.

When displaying the Pilot Log on the tablet screen there is a Print button in the top right hand corner of the screen to enable the Pilot Log to be printed out on a wireless printer. When pressed, a small light grey dialog box pops up on the screen for about a second followed by a black box with a message say "Unfortunately, Print spooler has stopped". I have tried everything including a complete factory reset but to no avail. I have even downloaded a printing APP which prints photos, documents, emails, and various other things quite successfully, but when I try to print from SkyDemon I just get the above message every time. Surely there must be other people using android devices that are printing out successfully. Am I missing something or is there some sort of a trick I'm missing?

Many thanks in anticipation.
Roger
