French CTR/TMA NOTAMs too large an area

Hi there, I have noticed a few occurences of NOTAMs for changed CTR/TMA operational hours creating a huge circle around the whole TMA and showing in the text that the vertical limits are from the lowest to the highest of all the sections of CAS concerned.

A‌ good example is La Rochelle LFBH which has a NOTAM from 1/2/17 to 25/3/17 modifying the ATS hours, and hence the CAS hours.
T‌he CAS is made up of 4 TMAs and a CTR, only the CTR goes down to SFC and only 2 of the TMAs go to FL115, but SkyDemon draws a huge circle around the lot of them, which of course includes a lot of class G airspace and indicates that the vertical limits are SFC-FL115 !

T‌his seems to be an issue with the interpretation and or representation of the NOTAM.

The centre point and effective radius of NOTAM is decided by the publishing authority. We just display them, with those parameters that the authority have decided upon. The NOTAM system was never designed to lock shapes to specific types of airspace so we can't always do it, and particularly not with controlled airspace.

Remember that the NOTAM is just there to get you to read its text and decide whether it applies to your flight. Obviously, if you're not entering the controlled airspace the NOTAM is referring to, you can decide it doesn't apply to you.‌

Thanks very much for that explanation Tim, I see now that the NOTAM in the screenshot gives a radius of 34NM which explains the large size of the circle.
