I carried out this procedure and the results are breathtaking; Smooth, no more crashes (in simulation). Will take about one hour to run but well worth it: google "JimTDI Tuning the Nexus7 with Android 5 Lollipop for maximum performance"

Before downgrade i will test new Lollipop 5.1 that is waiting at the ednd of this week.
